Sumitomo engaged Intermulti Kreasi for a comprehensive workspace reset — re-evaluating the existing office furniture and updating the spatial layout to better serve a modern, hybrid workforce. A significant portion of the existing furniture was retained, refurbished, and reconfigured, minimising waste and cost while delivering a genuinely refreshed working environment.

The challenge
The new floorplate was smaller than the office Sumitomo was leaving, yet it had to hold the same number of people. That constraint drove every layout decision: circulation was tightened, storage consolidated, and workstation spacing recalculated rather than simply scaled down.
The reduced footprint also brought the meeting rooms much closer to the open staff area than before. Acoustic separation that had been adequate in the previous office would no longer work here, so meeting room zoning was specified with higher sound insulation than the outgoing fit-out, a change identified from the drawings before construction began, rather than discovered after handover.
